Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and flexible 1:1 School CNA to join our team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will support the needs of individual students in a school setting, providing personal care, assistance, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment. Must be flexible with availability, including potential support during bus rides. The ability to handle behavior issues calmly and professionally, assist with toileting, and support students with physical disabilities is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized personal care and health support to assigned students.
  • Assist with daily activities, including toileting, eating, and mobility as needed.
  • Support students with physical disabilities by providing hands-on assistance as required.
  • Monitor and respond to health concerns in collaboration with school staff.
  • Support students during bus rides as needed to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Address and manage behavior challenges in a calm, professional manner when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, recruiter, and the healthcare team.
  • Follow individual care plans and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Active CA Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
  • Experience managing behavior challenges in a compassionate and effective manner.
  • Experience assisting with toileting and supporting students with physical disabilities.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility with scheduling and availability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in challenging situations.

  • Type: Per Diem (on-call/as-needed)
  • Location: Montebello Unified and Downey Unified School Districts
  • Schedule: Must be flexible, including availability for bus ride support as needed.
