Cross Country Education is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to support the Burbank Unified School District. This position involves working at two elementary sites, servicing a caseload of approximately 55 students, including children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. These sites feature two specialized programs: the Language Enriched Autism Program (LEAP) and the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC). The Speech Language Pathologist will provide speech and language therapy for diverse learners, focusing on enhancing language skills, communication, and effective social interactions.

This is a full-time position offering benefits and 401 K, available on school days, with competitive compensation based on experience.

Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Compensation: $65.50 per hour

Estimated Salary: $104,800
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders for students in elementary school (K-5th grade)
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other professionals to support students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Implement and monitor progress in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and assist in AAC assessments
  • Work effectively with students with autism, delivering targeted support in LEAP and CLC programs

Requirements:
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology (SLP) License
  • Experience with elementary-age students and familiarity with autism and AAC assessment/implementation is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in managing caseloads within elementary education settings, specifically those involving diverse learning needs
