Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to fill an urgent backfill position at Burton Elementary School. This resource position supports students in grades K-4 within the special education program, focusing on those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) requiring service levels A or B.

Responsibilities:

Assist and support students with diverse educational and behavioral needs.
Develop, manage, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to individual student needs.
Collect and analyze data to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Ensure appropriate placement of students in suitable learning programs based on their unique needs.
Work with approximately 20 current IEPs and participate in the campus MTSS process for initial evaluations.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in special education and familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
Passion for fostering academic growth and positive behavior in students.
