Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in Orientation and Mobility (O&M) in Highland Park to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in empowering visually impaired students to navigate their environments safely, confidently, and independently. This position involves designing and implementing individualized instructional programs, fostering essential travel skills, and collaborating with families and educational teams to support student success.

POSITION DETAILS:

Role: Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Location: Highland Park, IL 60035
Age/Grades: Grades K-12
Program: Orientation and Mobility program
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week
Duration: January through May 30th, 2025 (flexible for short-term coverage if needed)
Compensation: based on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

License: Valid IL Professional Educator License with a Teacher of Students who are Visually Impaired endorsement
- REQUIRED: License in Orientation and Mobility
Experience:
- MUST have experience with students with multiple disabilities
- Preference to teachers with 2+ years of experience
