Here's a brief synopsis:
SPED PARAPROFESSIONAL: (Full Inclusion Instructor)
Age/Grades: PK- 8th
Case Load/Job Description:
Provide direct support to Special Education students under the direction of the
Director of Student Services, Coordinator of Student Services, Principal,
Teacher, Education Specialist, and/or Full Inclusion Coach
Implement behavioral and instructional methodologies to address the needs of
students demonstrating learning or behavioral challenges
Work with students with different abilities (mild to extensive needs) within the
General education classroom
Support the academic and behavioral needs of students
Accommodate specific student needs through the implementation of
specialized learning activities and linguistically appropriate goals and
objectives
Provide instructional support and interventions during and after school in a
variety of settings, including the general education classrooms and other
school settings as assigned
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership
Qualifications:
**One of the following: REQUIRED
AA and High School Diploma or GED
Or Pass on the Para Pro exam
Experience as a SPED Para
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with the field.
