Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Per Diem
Location: Montebello Unified, Downey Unified, and Long Beach Unified School Districts 
Focus: Care for medically fragile students

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School LVN to join our team on a per diem basis. This role is vital in ensuring the health and safety of medically fragile students during school hours. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with tracheostomies, catheters, ventilators, and G-tubes and will be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily medications and monitor for side effects.
• Provide trach care, catheter maintenance, and G-tube feeding as necessary.
• Monitor and care for students using ventilators, ensuring proper and timely interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate health plans into students' daily routines.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate care as needed.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in compliance with school and district policies.
• Foster positive, nurturing relationships with students, families, and team members.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid LVN license in CA.
• Previous experience caring for medically fragile children, with proven expertise in trach care, catheter care, ventilator assistance, and G-tube management.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is a plus.
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Candidates must be flexible and available to support bus ride positions as needed.
