Cross Country Education is hiring a dedicated and credentialed Special Education Teacher (Resource Specialist Teacher - RST) for a 9th-grade assignment at Legacy College Prep in Santa Ana, CA. This role will focus on supporting students with case management, maintaining IEP goals, and collaborating with general education teachers to provide RSP/SAI services within the general education classroom. The caseload includes 26 students, with a maximum of 28, requiring strong organizational skills and adaptability.

Weekly Commitment: 5 Days, 30.5 Hours
Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

Provide in-class RSP/SAI services to 9th-grade students in a general education setting.
Manage and update case files, ensuring compliance with educational guidelines.
Collaborate with general education teachers and site contacts to deliver personalized educational support.
Monitor and track student progress to adapt instruction based on individual needs.
Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements

Active Special Education Credential (required).
Experience with case management and high school resource services preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within an educational team.
Flexibility to adapt to student needs and modify instructional approaches as necessary.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $60.00 per hour
