We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in providing essential speech and language services to students. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement individualized treatment plans, conduct screenings, and support students with communication disorders. This role is crucial in fostering effective communication skills and enhancing students' academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
- Conduct screenings and assist in the assessment of students' speech and language abilities.
- Provide direct support to students during therapy sessions through structured activities and exercises.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing updates to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote effective communication strategies within the classroom.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment for students during therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies.
Requirements:
- Must be a fully certified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in the state of Arizona.
- Valid IVP Card.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment.
