Position Details:

• Role: Art Teacher
• Location: Blue Island, IL 60406
• License Required: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Pay: $35-$40per hour (negotiable based on experience and interview)

Job Summary: As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with our curriculum and learning standards. Your goal will be to foster students’ creative expression and artistic skills, while creating a positive learning environment that supports their academic, social, and emotional growth. Regular communication with parents/guardians about student progress is also a key part of this role. Please note that this position may require daily travel between two school sites.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a visual arts/art endorsement (K-12) or Elementary Education (K-9) with a middle grades art endorsement.
• Knowledge of distance learning structures and Google Suite applications.
• Ability to assess student learning and adapt instruction as needed.
• Proficiency in data analysis for instructional decisions.
• Understanding of different learning styles and teaching methods.
• Effective communication skills with a diverse student population and their parents/guardians.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
