This is Jim Ward, a Special Education Hiring Manager with Cross Country Education, and I am currently hiring for School Based Occupational Therapist at a local school in Howell, MI 48843.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the team at Livingston ESA in Howell, MI, to provide primarily consultation-based OT services to elementary school students. This role involves working with students with varying needs to promote improved participation in daily activities, enhance functional skills, and support their academic success. Occupational Therapist (OT) - Elementary School
Location: Howell, MI 48843
Start Date: 11/07/2024
Days per Week: 5 (Monday to Friday)
Hours per Week: 35 hours
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Compensation: $46.00 per hour
Estimated Annual Salary: Approx. $65,000

Responsibilities:

Deliver consultation-based OT services, collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and support staff
Assess and evaluate students' functional abilities in an educational environment
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Document student progress and communicate outcomes to educational teams
Ensure compliance with Michigan state regulations and district policies

Qualifications:

Michigan OT License (required)
Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative educational setting
