Cross Country Education is in need of an immediate 3rd-5th Grade Education Specialist in the Sacramento, CA area!
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Elementary School (Full Inclusion Program)
- Model: Co-teaching and in-classroom support
Compensation: Hourly- $52-$55 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Planning: Develops ambitious goals to enhance student achievement and collaborates with co-teachers on lesson and assessment planning to meet Common Core standards.
- Execution: Engages students in achieving classroom goals, applies effective strategies to maintain attention, and adapts teaching methods to support diverse learners.
- Assessment: Tracks data through daily assessments, communicates progress with families, and uses insights to improve instruction.
- Classroom Culture: Establishes a positive environment focused on respect, high expectations, and equity, with routines that support learning.
- Case Management: Manages Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring compliance and documentation, and writes IEPs that support student growth.
- Leadership: Promotes campus culture, participates in school-wide events, and demonstrates commitment to professional development.

- Principal or Special Education Program Coordinator
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid California Education Specialist credential (mild/moderate)
- Criminal background check
- Classroom success
Highly Desired:
- 2+ years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an urban or underserved community
- Experience in leadership, counseling, or teaching enrichment classes (e.g., music, art, sports)
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in special education, IEP compliance, behavior management, and assessment practices
- Strong collaboration, planning, and organizational skills
- Experience in managing special education programs
